    POSITION OVERVIEW

     

    We are looking for a Systems Engineer I to join our team to support a 700 user network with 30+ locations. The Systems Engineer I will be responsible for implementing and providing support for enterprise level networks and systems. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of the IT team. Our information processing workloads run on a Microsoft stack, Cisco networking hardware, in the Azure cloud and on premise, with a variety of custom applications and customized conventional enterprise platforms. We are growing our transaction volume and capabilities significantly.

    The successful candidate will possess the skills to work with Hyper-V environments, Dell server hardware, manage Windows servers, have knowledge on routing/switching, and server applications and roles. They will also have the ability to work with management, team members and users to solve problems and create workable solutions.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

     

    • Provide excellent customer satisfaction
    • Tier III end user support
    • Troubleshoot and solve network and datacenter issues
    • Setup, configure, and manage Hyper-V and physical Windows Servers
    • Support LAN/WAN infrastructure
    • Work with vendors and contractors when necessary
    • provide guidance and work assignments to contractor staff
    • Manage backups
    • Conduct After hours work for projects and routine updates as required
    • Travel to remote data center and remote offices as required

    QUALIFICATIONS

     

    • 2+ years’ experience Microsoft server products
    • Microsoft MCP and higher certifications a plus
    • Must have working knowledge of routing and switching, with preference to Cisco experience
    • Solar Winds experience a plus
    • SQL Server, Windows 10 deployment, SAN, System Center, Share Point, Skype, Cisco, and/or Exchange familiarity a plus
    • Ability to work well in a team and individually
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
