    The Legal Department supports all CDCN Companies and Departments by serving as the primary contact for corporate legal matters to ensure consistent and compliant health care processes. The department is inherent to conducting business in a responsible manner and a necessary function in order to protect our business against clinical, financial, and operational exposures.


    The Administrative Assistant will support the Compliance Director, Legal Department and Risk Management Department, collaborating and supporting legal operations and health care compliance. This candidate must have excellent organizational skills and an attention for detail.


    This position will work under direct supervision as well as collaboratively communicate across many departments and functions. The candidate must have excellent communication, patience, and ability to effectively disseminate information, department goals, and project outcomes to all staff.


    This candidate must have excellent computer skills. More than 75% of work time is spent in front of a computer monitor.

    • Preserve the confidentiality of all information regarding clients, staff (in connection with their employment), and business practices
    • Support the work of filing business licenses, filing company structure documents on a state-by-state basis and communicate progress and timelines to Supervisors
    • Review and process information requests in accordance with legal and procedural accuracy
    • Follow documentation requirements and obtain follow-up when required
    • Assist in the creation, tracking, and implementation of policies
    • Provide support on contract renewal timelines and processing
    • Track and document HIPAA disclosure logs on a monthly basis
    • Assist with disclosure research and response as needed
    • Assist with logging and tracking of allegations of fraud
    • Analyze and respond to a high level of legal department emails, calls, and requests
    • Efficiently file organization, email management, contract organization, and all other duties as assigned by the department Supervisor
    • Perform under minimal supervision with accountability for specific goals/objectives


    • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) or Associates Degree from four-year college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education, is preferred; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Specific work experience as an office assistant, legal assistant, or in another relevant administrative role
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Organization and planning skills, managing multiple demands, and achieving results

    • Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving

    • Advanced understanding of Adobe, Word, and Excel proficiencies are required for this position

    • Must exhibit a commitment to continuous learning
