The Legal Department supports all Consumer Direct Care Network departments and programs throughout 14 states, as well as serves as the primary contact for corporate legal matters to ensure consistent and compliant healthcare processes.

This position will support the Legal Supervisor and become a valued member of the legal department collaborating and providing legal work product. This candidate will have a strong background in Law, Business Filings and Structure, Contracts, Policy, Healthcare Compliance and knowledge of Federal and State Laws.

This position will work under direct Supervision as well as collaboratively communicate across many departments and functions. The candidate must have excellent communication, patience and diverse legal knowledge to disseminate information and department goals.

Applicants with experience in filing business licenses, setting up corporate structure and business law are strongly encouraged to apply.



  • Legal Research: Research and analyze state and federal law while communicating regulations and code.
  • Business Structure: Support the work of filing Business Licenses; Process tax filings; file company structure documents on a state by state basis and communicate progress and timelines to departments.
  • Information Requests: Process Information Requests and Subpoenas in accordance with legal and procedural accuracy. Document process and obtain follow-up when required.
  • Project Management: Manage and report to Director on delegated legal projects.
  • Audit Support: Provide support and work management flow on audit processes.
  • Contract Oversight: Provide support on contract renewal timelines and processing.
  • Communication: Analyze and respond to a high level of legal department emails, calls and demands.
  • Policy and Procedure: Assist in the creation, project outcome and implementation of Policy and Procedure.
  • Communication: Must be able to work with and communicate legal department goals and projects, with successful organization and documentation.
  • Healthcare Compliance: Must have foundational knowledge of HIPAA regulations, Fraud, Waste and Abuse per HHS OCR and demonstrate a base of understanding of Healthcare regulations.
  • All Other: File Organization, Email Management, Contract Organization and all other duties assigned.




  • Organization: Strong organizational skills to balance daily projects and needs with tight timelines.
  • Communication: Must utilize clear, patient and confident communication to effectively work through a diverse and demanding environment.
  • Technical Proficiencies: Advanced understanding of Adobe, Word and Excel proficiencies are required for this position.
  • Legal Research: Proficient with Westlaw, Lexis, Montana State Health and Human Services, Medicaid, Medicare, Administrative Law.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Pre-Law or related field. Graduate from an ABA approved Paralegal program and 2-3 years of Legal support. Education and experience will be evaluated and reviewed for alternative qualifications.
  • Ability to use a computer keyboard and other business equipment. More than 50% of work time is spent in front of a computer monitor. When required, ability to lift, move, carry objects of varying size, weighing up to 35 pounds. When necessary the ability to travel overnight will be required.
