POSITION OVERVIEW

 

Consumer Direct Management Solutions is looking to hire a highly detailed oriented, efficient and self-motivated Accountant to join or team in Missoula, MT. The Accountant will work independently and in a dynamic team environment to prepare and present monthly financial statements for our multiple companies that we oversee. In this role, you will create and reconcile general ledger accounts and work papers, draft month and year end journal entries, compile financial statements, find variances and work out solutions. This involves reviewing journal entries and work papers and processing monthly, quarterly and yearend reconciliations. Additionally, as an Accountant you will prepare tax reporting and annual audit information, work with Accounts Payable, cash and other teams to review and problem solve accounting issues. This position will assist in preparing annual forecasts across assigned companies and create monthly variance analysis comparisons and notes to financial statements.  Accountants work closely with company managers and other department heads to review financial information and troubleshoot or provide additional information as requested.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Provide a positive, professional, empathetic and customer-focused manner
  • Team player – ability to work in teams, are open to coaching and feedback while being understanding and receptive to different perspectives
  • Reviews journal entries and work papers for accuracy and appropriate coding for multiple companies
  • Prepare month, quarter and yearend close reconciliations and processes
  • Prepare and maintain financial statements for multiple companies
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies and variance analysis by collecting and analyzing account information
  • Prepare financial reports and notes by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Assist in preparation of multiple company forecasts
  • Foster relationships and communicate financial information with and to Managers and Executives
  • Make best practices and efficiency recommendations
  • Prepare and assist with annual audit reports, information and questions
  • Prepares quarterly, annual and ad hoc reporting
  • Other projects as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • 1 year accounting and bookkeeping experience with in a Medicaid/Medicare or health care environment preferred but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field of study
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with accountants, and management.
  • Strong planning and organization skills to balance and prioritize work.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills to manage large amounts of data.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft applications, specifically Outlook and Excel
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP
